Moving between drawing, painting and intuitive mapping, Mariëtte creates works that feel both intimate and expansive. Rather than depicting recognizable reality, her work evokes states of becoming: growth, connection, transformation and release. Each composition suggests movement beneath the visible surface, where tension and stillness coexist.
Her process is deeply intuitive and develops through a continuous dialogue between control and surrender. Marks are placed, interrupted, erased and rediscovered, allowing each work to evolve gradually and organically.
